Rules for paying respects to the Queen as she lies in state and how to visit Westminster Hall ➡️ Hundreds of thousands of mourners are expected to descend on London where the Queen will be lying in state for four full days

When will the full route for the queue be published?Security staff manning the queue route to Westminster Hall on Monday morning said the line of people was likely to snake for miles along the southside of the River Thames to Tower Bridge.

The Queen Mother, in Westminster Hall, where she was lying-in-state until her funeral at Westminster Abbey in 2002 Refreshments will be limited, so people are advised to bring their own food and drink to consume while they wait in line. But anyone who is drunk will be removed from the queue, which will be patrolled by police officers and stewards.People are not allowed to bring any food or liquid into the Palace of Westminster and it is understood that they will not be allowed to camp as they wait.

Banners, placards, flags, advertising or marketing messages, or other similar items “that could be used to cause a disturbance” should not be brought along, according to the Government’s guidance.Will there be lavatories?
