The Royal Mail wants a fleet of 500 drones to help deliver the mail to remote communities across the UK.
But the drones the Royal Mail plans to use do not have the ability to hover, and won't be replacing the postman or woman on their rounds. They are designed to serve what he calls the "middle mile". Once their cargo is unloaded it will be delivered by postal workers. Analyst Kay Wackwitz of Drone Industry Insights said this sort of middle mile transportation "addresses an essential problem for remote regions".
I'd buy the Turkish Bayraktar TB2. It's an excellent proven drone, just perfect for delivering mail and the odd munition if required.😏
This is a no-brainer. I am surprised it has taken Royal Mail this long to start using drones (unmanned little planes) this way.
Haha good luck! The uk has some of the stupidest and strictest drone regulation in the world, (Unless they make special exemptions for business) 😂 customers and RM should expect to pay an absolute fortune
