Romano confirms Liverpool 'will sign two or three midfielders' as Reds cool interest in defender - Football365

Date published: Monday 24th April 2023 10:22 -Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Liverpool “will sign two or three midfielders this summer” with “many target being discussed”.

The Reds have had a poor season by their recent standards with Jurgen Klopp’s men currently seventh in the Premier League with seven matches to go.have given fans some hope that they could put a run together in an effort to finish fourth and qualify for the Champions League. But Liverpool are still nine points behind fourth-placed Manchester United – who have a game in hand on them – and it looks likely that Klopp will have to persuade new signings to come to Anfield without Champions League football next season.

Klopp’s midfielders have taken a lot of the blame for their poor campaign with fans and pundits agreeing that they need new energy in that area of the team. There have been links to multiple midfielders ahead of the summer transfer window, as you’d expect, with Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister, Chelsea’s Mason MountAnd Romano has confirmed that Liverpool “will sign two or three midfielders” in the summer transfer window, while Liverpool are just one of lots of clubs “following” Chelsea defender Levi Colwill.
