The MP for Heywood and Middleton called Rochdale Boroughwide Housing ‘modern day slum lords’ after their heavy criticism for their standards of social housing in the wake of two-year-old Awaab Ishak’s death. Conservative Chris Clarkson said he has been sent photographs from a house in his constituency 'caked in black mould and rising damp', showing this ‘is not an isolated incident’.
“Just this week I was sent photographs of a house in Middleton with its walls caked in black mould and rising damp. That is an RBH property and my constituent sent me a copy of her doctor’s note saying she and her children are now severely ill because of these conditions.

So are Northwards Manchester! mouldy damp draughty WWII Prefabricated bungalows erected in 1944 with an intended life of 10 years or less!
Where was this outrage when rochdale cou cil were complicit and or og orant of the gang rapes commited against minors in their town? Why was it silent while the victims lived scared because it didnt have the backbone to remove the perpetrators.
Is that the reason he does not even live in the Borough he represents,?
I’ve only ‘liked’ this as an acknowledgement of the dire straits the housing stock is in the UK
