River Island 'chic' linen dress costs £294 less than similar Ralph Lauren style

River Island shoppers are snapping up a dress that wouldn't look out of place while on holiday or at semi-formal spring and summer occasions. What's more, the 'selling fast' dress looks similar to a much more expensive designer version.

The £55 number also shares striking similarities to the Ralph Lauren Belted Striped Linen ShirtDress, which would set you back a cool £349. Both dresses are made out cotton and feature a belted design, and button fastenings, as well as being constructed in blue and white tones, although River Island's version is more of a navy than a baby blue.
