The government will slash VAT in hospitality and leisure businesses, introduce a stamp duty holiday and spend up to £9bn rewarding employers that bring back furloughed staff, the chancellor said in his summer statement on Wednesday.

There’s no holiday without someone paying for the ticket and for insurance. We the taxpayers will come back and pay for the generosity of the state.
Stamp duty cut makes those of us in perilous rented housing less safe as our landlords may wish to take advantage of the discount before March and sell up. Of course with Tories the housing market always takes precedence over evictions & homelessness.
The housing bubble must be kept inflated at all costs I wonder if there is any link between the Tory Party and the housing industries
