If it actually has an effect and the government don’t squander any opportunities it allows them, then fair enough. With me and my back to work full time on the 4th Jan though, I’m anticipating a stressful couple of weeks.

Really annoyed how the phrase ‘extended holiday’ had been used. I will not be on an extended holiday. My students will not be on holiday. I will be doing live lessons everyday following my teaching timetable.

Testing of uni students in the ‘window’ from 3-7 Dec, for those unis which opted in, showed a very low incidence, so I can’t help but feel we are looking at the wrong problem if we prevent their return. Schools are completely different.

What about primary schools then?!!

HDDuurvoort And the primary education?

My daughter is doing biomedical science, only has 1 f2f lab session per week timetabled. No doubt she may be in the first group allowed back....is it really necessary for 1 lab session per week?

just like the 2019 pandemic and full beds at NHS England.. which is less than 2020....
