Republicans propose mass student surveillance plan to prevent shootings

Senate Republicans have a new plan for preventing mass shootings: require public schools to use surveillance technology to monitor students’ online behavior for signs of violence or self-harm.

They really would rather do ANYTHING than pass control legislation. How about free bulletproof vests or a complimentary personal bodyguard for every student?

Small government champions that they are.

Make the entrance like a courthouse, Disney World, a Ball game stadium or the airport. No need to 1984 our kids. Just cycle them through security. Districts do not need to get rich off prison level surveillance systems contracts. Quit overdoing the obvious.
