"Stand back Superman, Ice Man, Spiderman, Batman and Robin too..." is a line most Glaswegians will recognise, as the theme tune sung by Billy Connolly that introduced our very own tartan-clad superhero, Super Gran.

Gudrun's enemy on the show was The Scunner Campbell played by the late actor and theatre director Iain Cuthbertson and the show was so popular it won an Emmy, and was sold to over 60 countries worldwide.The show was mainly shot in the North East of England, despite the main protagonist being a Scot, with places like Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and South Shields standing in for the fictional town of Chiselton.
