A section of Barnes Lane, near Kings Langley, had been described by the village’s residents as “outrageous”, “a joke”, “awful”, and “dreadful”, due to the poor surface and potholes.
In the first week of the year, the local was reportedly told the hazard did not meet Hertfordshire County Council’s criteria to repair it but, after it apparently got worse, the council has now resurfaced the road - with work finishing on Thursday .Hertfordshire County Council has been encouraging residents to report potholes this year after a big increase in the number of hazards appearing as a result of the recent snow and ice, followed by cold and wet weather.
