An Indian fighter pilot captured by Pakistani forces and later returned has sparked a fashion trend in his home country with large numbers of men sporting his distinctive"gunslinger" moustache.
Wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman has been hailed as a hero by many Indians after his jet was shot down over Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, inspiring many to change their look. According to broadcaster NDTV, one couple even named their newborn baby after the 35-year-old, who was handed back to India on Friday.Mr Varthaman's facial hair has become known as the"Abhinandan" in barbershops around the country.
India has been gripped by the pilot's story after Pakistan's interior ministry released videos of him in custody but appearing completely calm and sipping tea.
