Rugby player wins compensation over 'revenge' tackle which left her with permanent spinal injury

A rugby player who sued an opponent over a "revenge" tackle, that left her with a permanent spinal injury, has won a compensation case at the High Court.

As Reading began to dominate the match, Ms King urged her teammates to "smash the number 7", referring to Ms Czernuszka, the High Court heard. Mr Justice Spencer continued: "The defendant simply gets up and walks away towards her own try line - she shows no concern for the claimant whatsoever. "Learning to live with my life-changing injuries has been difficult and something I could not have done without the support of my family and close friends.

Happy to hear that? 🌺

There should be criminal charges too

Is Natasha King banned from sport for life? Revenge tackles happen in the man’s game too, not the professional game but grass roots. Nothing as dangerous as a jealous parent with an angry son …………

Geeky deeply sorry for Dani, and this should call in to question whether or not women should be playing sports like Rugby?

We must shame Natasha King.

If you don't want to be hurt playing a man's game don't play a man's game then.

I've heard terrible things about female team sports. How revengeful and cruel some individuals are. Often driven by petty jealously. An anthropologist might tell you that women haven't evolved to play team sports and I fear they might be right.

Needs locking up,

Well deserved compensation- justice meted out👍

Feels like i'm living in a simulation or something. Female rugby now is a thing? 😂

I remember when sport was a simple pastime. It's now full of 'issues'

This is the guy you are giving air time!,A man who has a consultation...and ignores it anyway!Brilliant.

That’s really sad, I feel for her. I don’t get it though, the woman who did this is hardly going to have 10m lying around, so she won’t actually get much right? Genuinely curious here if anyone knows the answer 👀

Why are women's sports so toxic
