Once they were alone the keen sportsman and amateur boxer forced himself on them, using his 17st bulk to overpower them. Prosecutors told how Lawrence carried out his crimes in a variety of locations, including secluded spots in the back of his van where he had built a bed, quiet car parks, hotels, and his victims’ homes.Yesterday Judge Mr Justice Baker sentenced Lawrance to life with a minimum of 15 years at Nottingham crown court, increasing his minimum term by 2½ years.
