Ground staff at Dundee were working on the pitch hours before kick off Rangers’ have slammed Dundee after their Scottish Premiership match at Dens Park was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Dundee ground staff had been working on the pitch throughout the morning following a night of heavy rain. But the game, which was due to kick off at midday, was deemed unplayable after a pitch inspection at 10:15am.
‘This is the only match in the entire UK senior leagues to be postponed this weekend, and given it was to be shown on Sky Sports nationwide, reflects poorly on our game.’ Rangers currently sit second in the Scottish Premiership, one point behind Celtic who have played one game more. Dundee, meanwhile, sit seventh in the table and would be out of the relegation play-off places if they had beaten Rangers.
