Looks like faulty towers is empty too

Well it shows how important the railway workers are to this business, without it clearly it’s unsustainable.

Wow sounds like the strikers are essentially for so many people… perhaps they should be compensated accordingly?

Torys have cost hotel 75% of bookings there you go fixed your headline for you

Not exactly a balanced view - Has Noreen had a word …. I suggest anyone who thinks the transport sector is fairly paid go work in it

Embarrassing calling yourselves a News channel.

Full on Conservative Party BBC takeover today.. but then it’s hard to tell.. they gave up on journalism such a long time ago..

Brexit has caused the variance in inflation exhibited between Europe and Britain. Therefore the strikes which are based upon an inflation differential to wage are directly as a result of Brexit repeat after we me BREXIT . Acknowledged this would still exist but would be lower

It’s really great that the London editors have picked up on this as being of UK National interest. Three days of strikes will indeed be devastating for the hotel industry. The flood of cancellations mean that the vast majority of the five rooms will be empty during this week.

Damn guys sounds like the rail companies should have provided their workers with fair conditions

It would be more balanced to also report - in detail - on the grievances that rail workers have, from safety issues to job cuts etc. It really is not just about pay !

Boris Johnson will be like….. I’ll drive the train me self 🤣

perhaps RMT will recompense you.....

Any stories of how the union members are suffering due to low wages and high inflation?

Yep that's how strikes work.

Where are you finding these obscure business uniquely impacted by rail? Upper crust ? A particularly confused refreshment trolley vendor ?

Christ, the BBC is earning it's grubby state retainer this week! His Master's Voice? Woof Woof Woof!!! Walkies? Which way Uncle Boris?

The Government should change the law so that third parties can sue the trade unions for the impact of their strike action.

With the prices they charge they shall be able to cover the loss

Yes. There is a knock on effect - but the BBC are hell bent on covering the negative impact the strike has on others to deflect from the catastrophic impact that our BNP Johnson Tory Government are having on the lives and well-being of working people. Just stop it!

Unfortunate.

This is exactly what the rich and politicians want...They pit us against each other.

Bad take, BBC. Bad. Take.

Heartbreaking. For so many small hotels and guest houses that only got through the pandemic by the skin of their teeth, this politically-motivated strike could be the end for them. The sheer selfishness of Labour and the militant unions is hard to comprehend.

This may be the consequence but it is not the fault of the railway unions and they should not be blamed.

Yes but unions don’t give a F*ck about other struggling workers. I’m alright jack and stuff the rest of you. Shear arrogance
