Celtic's six-goal drubbing of Aberdeen brought a scathing Hotline assessment of the Dons with some callers suggesting something more sinister is at play.
Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, said: "Aberdeen as-per-usual lay down to Celtic, directly passing to them or deliberately giving fouls away. I personally want to know why VAR are acting against the rules and regulations of the game and why Aberdeen lie down to Celtic. Nobody on this earth can honestly say that the Aberdeen players tried as there was no pace, passion and quite simply no desire to beat Celtic.
Eddie Easson, Ballingry, said: "So much for Celtic going to struggle after a midweek thrashing to Atletico Madrid. The Rangers players went into the showers five points behind and before their shampoo was applied it was back to eight. Even a flying headbutt on Kyogo wasn't going to stop Celtic. Had that been a Livingston player fouling a Rangers player he would've been sent off and arrested.
George Wilson, West Sussex, said: "Rangers have been transformed by Philippe Clement but having lost three out of the first seven league games they will have to beat Celtic at least twice to catch up the deficit and have any chance of overcoming them in the league. Neither team will drop many more points to the other sides as they are all light years behind the big two. Celtic are also guaranteed a further nine points from the disgrace of a team that calls itself Aberdeen.
