The presenter was hosting her show, Jonesy and Amanda, with her co-host Brendan Jones, when she was nipped by a colourful lorikeet.
When luring the bird with a grape didn’t work, Amanda placed her hand inside the cage and tried to remove Blaze by grabbing her – which she did not enjoy and gave her a peck to tell her so. The nip was small but did draw blood with Amanda yelping out in pain. Amanda was nipped by the bird The tiny cut on her hand was barely visible ‘Look thank you, blood,’ she said pointing to the tiny mark on her knuckle, she then said sarcastically: ‘What a dreadful injury I’ve had.
