No trains are running in or out of London's Paddington station, which has caused severe disruption for numerous mourners who had planned to see the Queen's state funeral. BBC London's Transport Correspondent BBCTomEdwards is at Waterloo. More here:

Great Western Railway , Heathrow Express and Elizabeth line services have all been affected by the disruption in west London.

The former head of inclusion and diversity at British Transport Police said he was given a lift from the station but, with numerous roads closed in the capital, was unable to get to the abbey in time. Bev Palfreman, 61, from Okehampton, Devon, said she was "absolutely gutted" about not reaching the capital for the start of the funeral because, "the Queen has just been there throughout the whole of my life".Gaby Thomas, 29, who travelled from Castle Cary, Somerset, with her father, said: "My dad is a former naval officer and he wanted to see the procession and the military involved.

Dean Shaw, from Network Rail, told BBC Radio Bristol "significant damage" had been caused to overhead wires, which was causing a "huge amount of disruption". Passengers in Windsor travelling West should travel from Windsor & Eton Central to Slough and change at Slough for mainline services to Reading and onwards

BBCTomEdwards That's bad x RICKY.

BBCTomEdwards I popped into Victoria from Peckham to do some shopping as it was the only place open, expecting it to be really busy. Train and tube was empty, roads empty, breezed in an out of M&S and headed back on the train from London Bridge in an empty carriage. 🤷‍♂️

BBCTomEdwards What brought down the lines?

BBCTomEdwards Not even some diesel shuttles to get people along the way Poor show….

The summary gives the impression as weight of demand. I'm sure I saw an earlier report of the overhead power being destroyed (by engineering train?). Even now, misleading reporting by BBC ?

Never thought I’d have to debus a train today of all days , never made London but did make Windsor to say farewell to Her Majesty The Queen.
