The tracker also found half have less than £90 a week after essential spending

A quarter of households in Northern Ireland have just £32 left after paying for their weekly essentials.

Anne-Marie Murphy, Director of Strategy & Emerging Markets at the Consumer Council, said: "The lowest earning households continue to be the worst affected during the cost of living crisis, losing over half of their spending power. "To help consumers, the Consumer Council offers a variety of support and advice including interactive tools to compare energy costs and advice on how to reduce your bills and make your money go further at www.consumercouncil.org.uk."
