Property cordoned off in south Manchester as crews restore 'safe air quality'

A property in south Manchester has been taped off after a 'disturbance' and suspected gas leak this afternoon.

Crews remain on the scene as they work to make sure 'normal, safe air quality' is restored. There have been no injuries, according to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Services .A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police received a call at 11am this morning, Thursday 23 February 2023, to reports of two men at a property on Monsall Road in Manchester, who were causing a disturbance.

In a statement, GMFRS said: "Just before 5pm today, firefighters were asked to attend an address on Monsall Road in Manchester where there was a suspected gas leak.
