Prison terms under a year 'should be abolished'

What a ridiculous answer to solving the already rapidly growing crime epidemic the country faces. We should be sending a clear message to anybody that commits crime sajidjavid I thought better of you!

Utter madness! The reason the prison population has gone up is because their are more people committing crime! Build more prisons to keep scum off the streets & people/ property safe. Don’t appease them! To save 💷 we r put at risk! This government has completely lost the plot 🤬

People need to understand community service is better punishment for low crimes they work you very hard and its great for cleaning up the community, prison costs tax payer avg £3500.00 per month per prisoner, kids dont care about prison trust me but they hate community service
