Princess Beatrice Welcomes A Baby Daughter

The Royal Family have just confirmed that Beatrice gave birth to her first child over the weekend, announcing the news on social media. The family's official account tweeted, 'Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.

The statement continues on the Royal Family's website: 'The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.

It's the couple's first child together, and Edoardo has a five-year-old son, Christopher, from his relationship with architect Dara Huang. Edoardo and Beatrice tied the knot in July 2020 -but they kept it a secret, only later publishing photographs from the wedding to avoid overshadowing the late Captain Tom Moore, who was knighted by the Queen on the same day.

The couple announced their engagement last September, with the pair releasing a statement that read: 'We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.' If you're wanting to know more about Edoardo, he's a multi-millionaire, having founded the property consultancy Banda in 2007. The company specialises in finding and developing homes for the super-rich. He is also the co-founder of a charity Cricket Builds Hope, which teaches the sport in Rwanda.
