Prince Harry is said to have turned down an invitation to the wedding of his close friend Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, after learning that his brother William would be taking on a 'leading role'.

A royal wedding that's set to rival the grandeur of an official one is on the horizon, with Prince Harry and Prince William 's already strained relationship expected to suffer another hit in the lead-up to the nuptials.

An insider confided to the Express that Harry's decision to turn down the invite was spurred by the news of William's prominent role in the ceremony. The source revealed to the publication: "William was asked to take up a leading role in the wedding and that's what triggered Harry to decline an invitation. It was the final nail in the coffin."

Royal commentator Tom Quinn shared insights on the Duke of Sussex's decision to miss out on the nuptials, despite Prince William's role as an usher. Quinn explained: "William will attend the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the seventh Duke of Westminster he can hardly avoid it as Hugh is Prince George's godfather."
