It's welcome praise for a number of aspects of education provision at the three South Ayrshire schools.

A team of inspectors visited Girvan Academy, Muirhead Primary School and Early Years Centre, and Sacred Heart Primary School and Early Years Centre between November 2023 and January 2024. They talked to parents, carers, and children, and worked closely with the head teachers and staff members.

The inspection team were delighted with the positive and respectful relationships between staff and children at Muirhead Primary School and Early Years Centre. Their report stated that a key strength for the school was the "effective leadership" provided by the headteacher, and the interesting learning experiences provided by teachers is "positively impacting children’s progress.
