Three teenagers are in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after plunging 70ft from cliffs on to a beach in Cornwall.
Despite his wounds, one of the three managed to call the Coastguard to request help at Parc Trammel Cove, near the town of Porthleven, at just after midnight on Sunday.Emergency services including Coastguard teams, an RNLI lifeboat, paramedics and police descended on the scene to aid the injured trio, one aged 18 and two aged 19, who were airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
Their families have been informed of the incident, which left each of the men with multiple serious injuries, which have been described as potentially life-threatening or life-changing.Martin Leslie, coastal operations area commander, said the Coastguard helicopter crew that transferred them to the air ambulance had shown"outstanding skills" to get to the scene and rescue the men.
