The owners of a Nottingham restaurant say the venue has permanently closed after nearly 30 years of trading in the city. Petit Paris, based on Kings Walk, offered up French classics to its diners including beef bourguignon and confit duck leg.
But in a statement on their website, the owners of Petit Paris said it will no longer be trading. The post read: "It's with much sadness that we announce Petit Paris has closed its doors for the final time. "We would like to thank all of our loyal customers for 27 incredible years on Kings Walk. Your support over the years has been amazing."With the rising economic pressures on the hospitality industry, it was impossible to keep the restaurant open any longer...Thank you once again from all the team at Petit Paris."
Petit Paris' sister venue, the Paris Bar and Restaurant on High Pavement, remains open and customers of the former have been urged to pay a visit. The menus at both restaurants were overseen by James Crossman, whose 22-year kitchen career included a stint under Gordon Ramsay at Claridges, where he was part of a team that gained a Michelin star in 2002.
Petit Paris was one of Nottingham's best rated restaurants on TripAdvisor, whilst the Paris Bar and Restaurant was awarded a coveted AA rosette last year. The restaurant is one of several Nottingham eateries and bars that have closed in recent years, with Nottinghamshire Live recently reporting on the number of empty venues now standing in the city. Petit Paris were contacted for further comment.
