Nonsensical, we were all born with the same brains, being POOR has nothing to do with it, some are achievers because they work hard at it, some do not, it's a choice, stand on street corners with knives in your pockets or stay in school and learn.

Well duh.

It's abnormal if they could perform better.

Instead of lowering standards, give them tutoring and special summer classes so that they can meet the required standards and succeed in the future.

Duh

Again, this is not new news- the correlation between poverty and failure at school is well established so when will the Government do something about it or is it just too convenient to keep this status quo!

A child should never let its parents postcode determine how well it does at school and demand its parents support to get a good education.

Poorer pupils are also the most likely to not care about school

Did you control for heredity ? What is the score for parents? Siblings? How about for the racial and ethnic cohorts of 'poorer pupils'

There are far too many factors at play. It’s too easy to generalise

Maybe cause of food and water quality issues effecting mental performance.

Private schools would provide a better quality of education so therefore this makes sense tbh, considering that to go to most private schools you’d need wealthy parents. Unfortunately I didn’t get to go to a private school
