No. It was accurately represented, including by her own supporters. That's why there was such an outcry. 🙄
Liz Truss’s policy wasn’t ‘misrepresented’, it was reported accurately from her own press release. It was then resoundingly, and righty condemned, and then Truss performed a U-turn and retracted it.

Given the press briefing note, and her own comments, it is rather difficult to see quite how her intent, on a subject that she has espoused for years, was misinterpreted. She was just wrong to hold it as a view!
