The prime minister has spoken to reporters for the first time since the Met Police's partygate investigation concluded yesterday.

British negotiators are looking to go"further and deeper" and take advantage of"immense opportunities" in terms of strengthening ties with Mexico. Ms Trevelyan said:"This enhanced deal would transform our relationship with Mexico, making the most of the immense opportunities its dynamic business landscape and young, growing population offer.

They said they would"not get into specifics" when asked whether the civil servant's team had been in contact with Mr Johnson about the upcoming report. Ireland's foreign affairs minister met with Liz Truss this morning. "I'm saying the idea there is a honey pot of businesses you can raid when you feel like it is not true.
