Police officers were left gobsmacked after pulling over a BMW X5 towing a caravan on the M1 - only to find an 11-year-old behind the wheel.
North Yorkshire Police received a call at around 3.30pm that a caravan had been stolen from a caravan holiday site near to Thirsk and was being towed away by a black BMW X5.Officers tracked down the vehicle, which was using cloned registration plates, but nothing could have prepared them for what they were to discover.
