Andrew, from Eccles, was reported missing from home after vanishing in the middle of the night. Police have not provided his surname. Andrew's mum Jeanette, who had been staying with him due to an appointment he had the following day, said he went to bed that night at around 11pm on Monday .A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said a body has today been recovered from the Barton Bridge area of Salford, following a search of the surrounding areas.
Detective Inspector Mike Sharples from GMP Salford said: “Our thoughts and deepest condolences remain with Andrew’s family and friends at this time. Police were guarding a cordon around the Barton Road Swing Bridge area on the border of Trafford and Salford throughout the course of today. A body was recovered and taken away by private ambulance.
