Police have warned they will 'not tolerate' anti-social behaviour with fireworks

West Yorkshire Police have issued a "we won't let you off" warning ahead of Bonfire Night celebrations.

Police are working alongside West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to promote safety around fireworks and won't any tolerate anti-social behaviour.The force added that any time fireworks are used to "harass, intimidate, or cause damage to others" it is a criminal act and it "will not tolerate" this, adding that people will face "serious" consequences.

"Any action where fireworks are used to harass, intimidate, or cause damage to others is a criminal act and anti–social. West Yorkshire Police will not tolerate this behaviour and the consequences are serious. You can be fined an unlimited amount or potentially risk jail for up to six months for selling or using fireworks illegally."
