Police puppies who watched their trainer fly out of a van window in a horrific car crash were so traumatised they had to retire from the force.
PC Errington was tossed around the inside of his van ‘as if in a washing machine’ and left with three broken ribs and glass in his eye after the crash on December 30 last year. ‘The dogs were deeply, deeply frightened. When the van door opened one of them went off and it took some time to recover. Prosecutor Stuart Graham told the court PC Errington had joined the hunt for McCable, who was driving an unroadworthy Vauxhall Corsa.
