Police officers violent to women will be dismissed under new guidance

Police officers who break the law can be prosecuted. Misconduct hearings can also follow either criminal convictions or less serious breaches of police professional standards.

The new guidance is for these hearings and designed to ensure a consistent approach is taken - in order to prevent abusive officers from remaining in their jobs. "In many cases, the guidance wasn't clear enough that legally-qualified chairs should be considering the impact an incident may have on wider public confidence, as well as the specific incident itself.

"If someone's behaviour is so bad that it would damage the public's trust in their police service, they should be sacked. There is no place for them in policing, and neither chief constables nor their colleagues want them."For misconduct hearings, the officer has to be found to have acted unprofessionally on the "balance of probabilities". In other words, they are more likely to be guilty than not.

12 years nearly, scars, bruises, emotional, physical. It’s hard.

So as I understand it’s OK for police to be violent to men?

What about the other way round justasking

We are rising up as one ! Here we come

What about officers violent to men?

Sexism.

A new policy ( that plays to the current woke trend mob ) that’s already covered by other policy’s just so some idiot can get a promotion for a couple of years before retirement. Long term, cops will refuse to intervene in violent altercations for fear of the sack.

Men are 97% more likely to go to jail than a woman who committed the same crime

What the woman is violent to a police officer, many are?

Aren’t police officers abusing their ‘power’ already dismissed if over violent to anyone? And what does ‘violent’ mean? If a woman resists arrest and/or is violent herself, can the police not use appropriate force to arrest her?

GenderEqualityWhenItSuits

Read the article before asking why only women

What about those police officers who target black people indiscriminately? Reports seem to indicate that many fall into this category.

But when is international men’s day? Sorry, wrong group.

And violence against men presumably unpunished/ok?

An true no1 has met a good cop They think they are judge an jury there an then Most are bent an think there better than everyone else an most cops should be sacked ages ago fact that is they lie an keep things hidden trying to look out for eachother completely liers all of them

I don't think anyone has met a good cop 😂 for years they think there judge and jury there and then that's what all cops think like 🤣 not just a few all of them and no one trusts cops now a days

And women who are violent towards Police Officers get what?

A few to sack from Speaker's Corner area from the footage I've seen recently.

And what about the ones violent to men?

What about a violent woman

Does that include WPCs ? Watch footage of Met Police breaking up the Sarah Everard vigil, if you need reminding WHY I'm asking. 🧐🤠

Police officers should not use undue force on any human being. They are supposed to be the savior of the whole nation! SriLanka

My ex wife was a copper. She would punch, kick, throw hot food on a regular basis. She would drip feed me a £25/wk allowance. Despite me earning +£30k She falsely accused me when I said I wanted out Stopped me seeing kids. Is she exempt? Cos she's female?

Men living life as a black person back in slavery days lmao. Sucks to be born with a dick and have laws put you as second class citizen

The same should go for any hostility towards any person in the uk. The police are one sided these days with corruption. All police must do a course on civil and criminal law at a basic nvq level. Otherwise they should not be a police officer. equality

Wait i thought men and women are were equal and should be able to compete in sports. I officially want to announce if i am stop by the police i will at that moment identify as a woman.

What about those who are violent to men.

“It concludes violence against women or girls by police officers will always have a 'high degree of culpability'. Absolutel shite headline- 💭Actually unlawful violence by police officers against anyone at all is a criminal offence and always dealt with by the CPSUK if reported

I’d like to think police officers violent to anyone would be dismissed

Why not just handcuff the officers, that way criminals can do whatever they want? Which is what the looney left are crying for

So women are now more worthy than men? Cops can beat blokes but not women?

This isn’t news, this has been the case for years!!

When I was a teenager, one little old bobby in London lined over 20 of us up against a wall. He walked along the line and kicked every one up the backside and sent us home! And we went! No argument Today NO RESPECT, police need MORE power to put kids in their place!

How about those who assault school girls? How about those who racially profile innocent victims? How about corrupt ones? How about those who are violent towards men?

But keep the ones who are violent to men. Sounds about right. Next feminist who claims the world still oppresses women is going to get a free sock to put in her own mouth.

More ‘oppression of women’ eh?

sharrond62 How about just violent bully boy police to any citizens get sacked & those that don’t know the LAW they are policing

How do you know if they are a women these days? They might identify as a cat ?

sharrond62 This is a change to current policy?

Yes, but what is “a woman,” BBC?

Men can be domestic abuse victims too you know! And for the record cops already almost certainly lose their jobs if they were found guilty of a DA offence so your headline is rubbish really.

So violence to men is still okay? Nice to know.

It's Ok against men but forbidden against women!!

Holy woke Batman! Police being violent to anyone deserves a dismissal. If a person files a report & the outcome finds that the officer(s) in question acted unlawfully, they should be dismissed regardless if the victim is male or female. Or just admit that equality doesn’t matter.

WILL IT BE BACKDATED COS THERES LOADS OF VIDEOS OF VIOLENT HALFWITS IN POLICE UNIFORM HITTING WOMEN..(AND IN A LOT OF PLACES COPPING A SLY FEEL TOO!)

They already have such policies in place. Policing culture ensures those policies are muted, undermined and ignored, just as they are on race issues.

We didn’t know Police Officers were exempt from disciplinary procedures re gender violence? The very fact that the metpoliceuk has to issue such a statement is a stark indication of just how toxic the working culture of the Met really is. OpBlackVote BlackEquityOrg

Shouldn't women have chaperones?

Does that include that activist that deliberately caused a problem at the Sarah Everard vigil

Will they though? I mean will the officer be allowed to retire early before any investigation, get away and get another job with another force?

Being violent against men don't count then?

Police officers shouldn't be violent to anyone!

Which means any thug, vandal or criminal can scream 'I'm a woman, he hit me' while carrying on with their criminal behaviour. And just use it as an excuse to get off or cry wolf.

Should be dismissed if violent to anyone as they are here to protect…allegedly.

You mean they weren't before?

What if Q is right and intelligence agencies are involved?

Why

Ahh equal rights, nice one! Also, how are you defining women?

Way to go UK ❤️🙌👍⭐️⚖️🙏

And not to men?

well my flabber is absolutely gasted. in these days of inclusivity we get a guideline relating to behaviour towards women. rules laws and guidelines should apply to all.

One the few instances I've actually seen any police in our area they have been very nice.

CollegeofPolice a joke works both ways

police will be taking down their particulars?🤔

How about violence towards police officers or other emergency workers?

you do not want to be grabbed by the fuzz

…the WEIGHT of Coppers should be strictly monitored too like the Military; fat people are far too busy worrying about their next McDonalds/KFC dose to concentrate on the job…I’d love to see those fat c**ts jump a wall/chase criminals down the street!🤔😂😂

We all watch TV, what about the violence Women inflict on Police Officers who are doing their duty? Works both ways 🤷‍♂️

What about women's violence towards police officers?

But violence towards men is ok 🤔

If women are violent forwards police?

This needed new guidelines? What about police violence against people of all forms, races, creeds and colours? Egads, police so epic fail with such guideline holes and flaws.

You mean police officers are subject to the same laws as all of us and we never should have allowed a system to become that infested that this new 'guidance' was needed 🤮

How about just 'Violent police officers'?

Crackdown on police who abuse women could see officers automatically sacked under new guidelinesPolice misconduct guidance has been updated in a bid to bring tougher sanctions against officers who damage public confidence in the profession, with a specific section on violence against women and girls. pritipatel, why not simply have officers wear cams? This tactic will scare male officers from carrying out their duties due to fear (they wouldn't think the hassle they get for doing their job will be worth it). We must not have another BLM style bullying - one creating fear. So, what do they do with them now? They could start by stopping/preferably sacking, the PCSO who took it upon herself to lecture a rape victim on her doorstep about ‘wrongthink’ because she doesn’t believe men can be women
