A police officer who sent explicit photos to what he thought was a 12-year-old girl has been jailed after it turned out to be a colleague working undercover.
Majid, from Cheshire, admitted attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child and three counts of downloading images at Liverpool Crown Court and was jailed for 20 months.The court heard Majid messaged the supposed schoolgirl to say she was ‘looking lovely’ and mentioned that he was ‘slightly older’ than her but would still like to meet one day – something he said would be ‘their little secret’.
Ms Badman said: ‘He accepted he was chatting with “Jess” but had no intention of actually meeting her.’
