Assistant Chief Constable Osman Khan said: ‘We are aware of a video circulating showing the arrest of a man at Spring Hall Gardens, Halifax on Sunday 16 August in relation to assault offences. ‘We immediately reviewed the footage and looked into it as a matter of urgency to establish the full circumstances.
‘We have reviewed the actions of the officers involved and a referral has been made to the Force’s Professional Standards Directorate. ‘Our investigation remains ongoing and we have made a voluntarily referral to the Independent Office of Police Conduct . The officer involved has been removed from frontline operational duties.’
What happened to using necessary force only? What’s haplening to our country? Do we want another GeorgeFloyd incident? It does makes you wonder whether this is linked to the recruitment process? Do they check and train re:capabilities or is it headcounts because they are short?

They don't spend enough time training control and restraint. Hence why they end up rolling about the deck choking people.....
I practice grappling (bjj) and I see nothing wrong with what the officer did. He released when the guy tapped and controlled the suspect. And do we know why the other guy was being arrested? If we find out the man was rapist or woman beater, then that cop is a hero.
Where’s the law to protect citizens from lawless officers!?🤷♂️
