A police aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing after 'shaking violently' when part of it detached. The emergency landing happened after the rudder trim of the aircraft separated from its control rod , causing ' severe shaking ' within the aircraft.
The BN2T Islander aircraft, used by the PSNI's air support unit, was flown by a 38-year-old pilot with two passengers on board. The emergency landing took place at a private airstrip in Tandragee, Co Armagh, on August 16 last year.
