The event was organised by the charity and hosted by ASA Scotland Chairman Councillor Harry Cartmill.The guest speaker was Bob Kemp CBE, he explained D-Day “Operation Overlord” to the young people and the public.

ASA Scotland Forces Sweatheart Georgina Mackenzie was singing Vera Lynn songs, which the audience loved. Chairman Cllr Harry Cartmill praised Balbardie Primary, Simpson Primary, Bathgate Academy children, their singing and instrumentals were fantastic “these young people did Bathgate proud” “Whitburn Brass Band were absolutely outstanding, the music selection was poignant and beautifully played”ASA Scotland Hon Piper Kevin McLean played a tribute to Bill Millin and told those present Bill’s life story, Kevin said “I wanted everyone to understand the bravery of Scotland’s most famous, and heroic Pipers”
