There was a raucous atmosphere as Boris Johnson arrived for PMQs, and as the event got under way we heard of another resignation from health minister Jo Churchill.Sir Keir Starmer
bought silence to the Commons as he read the testimony of a man who’s accused a Conservative former minister of sexual assault. "I accept that is not easy listening, but it is a reminder to all those propping up this prime minister just how serious this situation is”insisted that when he was given the information that Sir Keir read out about the complaint that was made he"acted immediately".no longer has the Conservative whip, has lost his status as a Conservative MP and is now the subject of an independent investigation.
SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford also added to the pressure on Johnson telling him -"it really is over" and asked"if the Prime Minister won't resign, will he callDavid Davis also called for the PM to resign - something he did six months' ago. He said it wasn't in the interests of the country to carry on.
Bit dim if he's only just realised!
Not got the guts to do it 3 weeks ago, had to wait for others to do it first. Bottle job
It's a bit late for that after enabling him for 2 years
Also mentions his marginal seat in his resignation letter, this is driven by nothing more than a scramble for personal survival, he's turned a blind eye to a lot of appalling behaviour from no.10 & Govt up to this point! Better late than never but gets no credit from me!
Never heard of him.
Considering some of the iffy things this MP failed to use his 'integrity' to vote for/against, this is not a word I would use to describe him! He's just trying to save his political skin, but people in his constituency have already started voting against the Conservatives!
Boris soon
Don't you always need to be doing that?
That time was 18 months ago. Better late than never
That time was 6 months ago
