SAGE advisers told PM 'Super Saturday' restart for pubs and economy risks putting UK's Covid-19 fight back to square one

BORIS Johnson has been warned by his scientific advisers that his "Super Saturday" plans to reopen pubs on July 4 risks putting Britain back to square one.

Calculations for Sage show that if schools are fully reopened, a “surprisingly small” chain of infection could quickly carry the virus across the country. "For medium to long term, I'm optimistic. But for the short to medium term, until this time next year, certainly I think we should be planning for this for what I consider to be the long haul into 2021.

Boris Johnson recognised Prof Whitty had concerns about the lockdown being loosened for pubs on July 4.

I could have told you that and I’ve only got a few o levels !!!

He cannot win!He has people nagging about getting the economy going again! And when he does he has nagging again!! About a second wave!Remember!! If we do get another wave the thousands who didn’t care about distancing!when protesting That!! Is the start of a second peak!!

How long these idiots think the country will last without getting back to normal. We’ve had pandemics before and failed to stop them running their course. This nothing different!!

It's nothing the government have done the virus has died on its own

Nobody can afford pub prices anyway ,trip to the supermarket for cheap booze yay

What a load of bullshit, I don't see the mass invasion of pubs etc. Nothing has come of the cramming of beaches and the mass gathering at protests so stop being pathetic in the thought that opening pubs etc wilm cause a second wave.

borisjohnson doesn't care about people, their health or lives

Cannot be any worsecthsn all these protest in the UK lately and the numbers going to the beach at the week ends....if there is another spike it is nothing to do with the government, it is these idiots that don't listen to the Government's advice.....🤬🤬

The Twat won’t listen - he doesn’t want to stop his killing machine

This post is deeper than me:(

What should we do - stay at home forever

Well that’s because their boss bill gates won’t be happy about it

I knew it BorisJohnson you’re a knob
