Popular pizza chain Pizza Express has launched its first ever vegan restaurant inThe new brand, based in The Strand, will provide a vegan alternative to some of its most famous dishes, including the ‘American Jack’ and the ‘Pollo Ad Astra’ which will be changed to the ‘Vegan Ad Astra’.
Modelling itself off of the Vegan Pret, the Vegan Pizza Express is already open, and will exclusively serve plant-based food. The brand has been working with Jack and Bry for over a year in order to develop an exclusive vegan pepperoni, and it will be included in several vegan versions of classic Pizza Express recipes.‘It goes without saying that we’re incredibly excited to launch even more vegan versions of classic Pizza Express recipes across the UK this Autumn,’ says Jane Treasure, Food & Beverage Director at Pizza Express.
Shadi Halliwell, Chief Customer Officer at Pizza Express, added: ‘Our new vegan menu is so wide-ranging and delicious that it deserves a pizzeria of its own – so that’s exactly what we did.’‘Vegan Pizza Express is our first restaurant that will serve our vegan menu exclusively, and is a true showcase of these authentic flavours that we’ve been perfecting since 1965.’
