The centre-midfielder has also been a regular for England, playing the majority of their games at last summer’s European Championships.On Friday, The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed thatEx-Leeds player Danny Mills thinks Phillips will “play 20+ games” next season “like Raheem Sterling did” last term:

“He’s still going to play 20+ games next season – a little bit like Raheem Sterling did this year. You have to accept at Manchester City that you are going to be a squad player from time to time.
