A pensioner has died after a horror two-vehicle road crash involving a lorry on the A9. Emergency services were called to the collision between a silver Audi A6 and a red Volvo FH lorry at Causeymire Windfarm by Mybster.
The incident happened at around 3pm on Monday, October 16. Medics attended and a 71-year-old man, who was the driver of the Audi involved in the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say inquiries into the incident remain ongoing. Officers are appealing to those with dash-cam footage to come forward.
Sergeant Douglas Scott from Highland and Islands Road Policing said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the man who died at this difficult time. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
