Tributes have been paid to the Birkenhead star on the first anniversary of his death

The Lily Savage star died on March 28, 2023 aged 67 after suffering a sudden cardiac arrhythmia. Today marks one year of his tragic passing as tributes have poured in from across the UK.

A heart-warming tribute was paid on Paul O'Grady's official Instagram account which was captioned: "One year has passed since we received the heartbreaking news of @paulogrady passing. In honour of his memory, @andre_portasio would like to share some cherished moments from Paul’s personal archive today. Let’s cherish these memories together and remember, WE HAVE A FRIEND."

Another said: "There's no one like Paul and there never will be. It broke my heart when I heard we'd lost Paul, still does so I can only imagine how Andre and Paul feel. Paul was a true legend and always will be, loved forever." A fourth commented: "Still so missed Paul Thanks for sharing Andre, it was lovely to hear that laugh again. Thinking of you and all of Paul’s friends and family. Will send a donation over to Battersea today."
