Across most sociodemographic subgroups, the age-standardized prevalence of current e-cigarette use decreased between 2018 and 2020, with significant reductions among men , multiracial individuals , heterosexual individuals , cisgender individuals , and individuals with income greater than 200% of the federal poverty line . A decrease in the prevalence of e-cigarette use between 2018 and 2020 was observed among those living in urban areas but not in rural areas .
