PASSPORT wait times have faced significant delays amid the coronavirus pandemic. With hopes pinned on May 17 as the date international travel will resume, the Home Office has issued a new warning for Britons.

Her Majesty's Passport Office is set to send text messages to Britons whose passports are nearing expiration in a bid to encourage them to apply with enough time to spare.
