A woman was hit by a vehicle Thursday morning during a reported hit-and-run crash in Newton, Massachusetts, according to the city's police force.

Officers got a call at around 6:45 a.m. Thursday for the incident, which happened in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and Prince Street, according to the Newton Police Department.A passerby saw the woman in the road and stopped to help. She was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, authorities said.Police on Thursday were canvassing the area in search of video.More Newton News
