At various stages during the pandemic, the government imposed legally enforceable rules - including restrictions on social gatherings - to stop Covid from spreading.
The Met Police investigation, called Operation Hillman, is examining 12 gatherings on eight dates to see if Covid regulations were broken.20 May 2020 in the Downing Street garden13 November 2020 on the departure of a special adviser. In her separate, initial report, Ms Gray criticised "failures of leadership and judgement" over the gatherings, between May 2020 and April 2021.
I don't think scoring the Met Police's efforts averagely good is out of context. However, the British public deserve to know so much more than what the police had so far uncovered just like what the opposition leader Sir Keir Starmer has posited. There should be no sacred cows.
They broke the law. Criminals.
Why the picture of No 10? This is misleading. The party, for CIVIL SERVANTS NOT CONSERVATIVE PARTY STAFF, was in Whitehall.

Have any of the police on duty that evening been fined for letting parties go ahead?
