In just over four weeks time Heaton Park will prepare to welcome thousands of festival-goers as Parklife makes its grand return. Some of the music industry’s biggest acts and stars will descend on the Greater Manchester venue on June 9 and 10.
Now in its 15th year, Parklife regularly draws in more than 80,000 gig-goers each day of the festival. It builds on the success of last year, which saw show stopping performances from The 1975, Aitch, The Prodigy, Wu-Tang Clan and Nas. On Saturday, gates to the festival site open at 11am, while on Sunday, it’s a 12pm start. The last entry to Heaton Park will be 5pm, and festival-goers are advised to arrive in good time.
Parklife bosses have said this year is all about ushering in the next era of the festival with a brand new main stage, ‘jaw-dropping’ production, and fewer line-up clashes. Alongside its headliners, acts including Digga D, Mahalia, Rudimental, Nia Archives, Hybrid Minds, Patrick Topping and Barry Can’t Swim will also take to Heaton Park this June.
Travel passes which include trams of the Parklife shuttle bus from the city centre can be bought for £10 plus booking fee for the full weekend, or for £5 plus booking fee for just the Saturday or Sunday. What does a VIP ticket include? As you might expect, there's plenty of perks to boost your festival experience, and this year's VIP area promises many.
The transport ticket - offering travel by bus from Manchester City Centre to Heaton Park - is available to buy in advance with a festival ticket.
