Parents are following savvy 'four-gift rule' for their children that saves them money at Christmas

Parents wanting to stop unnecessary spending at Christmas are revelling in a 'four-gift rule' that is saving them both time and money.

The simple rules state that parents must buy a maximum of four gifts for their children, but only if it is: 'Something they want', 'Something they need', 'Something they wear' and 'Something they read'. "We're going to do that this year. Trying to have a more minimalist Christmas with quality over quantity," one mum wrote.
